4th of July Ringing of the Bell
7/6/2026
We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Milt Nodacker and one of our wonderful Peck kids for helping ring the bell on the Fourth of July. Their participation added a meaningful touch to our Independence Day celebrations, reminding us of the importance of tradition, and the freedoms we have enjoyed for 250 years.
The ringing of bells has long been connected with America’s celebration of independence. In the earliest years of the nation, bells were rung in towns and cities to announce public celebrations and mark important patriotic occasions. In 1963, President John F. Kennedy supported a congressional resolution designating July 4 as National Bell Ringing Day, encouraging bells across the country to ring in honor of freedom. Many communities continue the tradition by ringing bells 13 times to remember the original 13 colonies and to let freedom ring from generation to generation.
